I am shocked to hear that she passed away. I was been looking for her in Phoenix for 2 years and couldn’t find her cuz.I wanted to give her about our school PDSD Alumni Reunion event last month and I hope she would come to see us there. 😟 Last time, I saw her before she moved to Payson living with her mother probably in 1988. What surgery did she have ?!? My condolences goes to her family….Rest in Peace Deneen !

I am truly shocked that I found out that she passed away. She was my good friend. we were spend times together in Phoenix, Arizona in 1992-1997. She always talked about wanting to be movie actress in Hollywood. she loved so much to watch many movies together. we always talked about it. after 1997, i had to move out to California for my SS reason and looked for jobs. i tried to find her but she hard to find. i prayed to God that i might found her before. but its too late. i feel so bad.my heart broken. My deepest condolences to the Murphy’s families. Psalm 23. John 3:16. May the Lord shine on her face. keep her to live forever with God and Lord Jesus Christ.

My family and I got to know DJ while we were in Aberdeen. I met her at a garage sale. She was motioning to me about some clothes. I figured out she was deaf and got to use my sign language. She helped me teach a sign language class to some homeschoolers. We helped her as we could. We did some events and holidays together. She loved our daughters. She went with us to our church, Richland Wesleyan, a few times. We moved away. DJ and I still texted occasionally. She sent packages to our kids for their birthdays. She sent one only a few weeks ago. DJ texted me about her surgery. I/we were shocked to learn about her passing after the surgery. It even affected my daughter. The other daughter is wearing a shirt DJ sent her these days and is playing with a Valentine’s candy box that says “From DJ” on it. We are sorry to hear of her passing and wish we were closer to come to the funeral. We want to send our regards and sympathy to her family.

  7. Valerie Duncan says:

I am still in shock as I write this, but want to leave some sort of tribute to my friend, DJ. She will be missed. She was so kind to my family and so loving towards my kids. She talked with me like we were old friends though we hadn’t known eachother long. I still feel like I can call her anytime and have a long conversation.
I will remember her animated story telling and her deep love for her mother and dogs. I pray for the friends she left behind.
