Aberdeen, SD-Memorial service for Austin Cody Bercier, 37, of Aberdeen will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen. Rev. Fr. Patrick Grode will officiate. The service will be live streamed on Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page and available at www.Carlsenfh.com under Austin's obituary.
Austin died June 16, 2020.
Austin Cody was born June 25, 1982 in Rugby, ND to John and Marilyn (Davis) Bercier. Austin was raised and lived in Aberdeen, SD. He graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 2000. He continued his education at Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt, ND. He worked at 3M as well as IHS over the years. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, flying drones, constructing, and racing RC cars. He had a free spirit and was very adventurous. He would leave at any moment with his kids to go visit family in the Turtle Mountains. He loved spending time with his family and making everyone smile.
He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends.
Austin is survived by his parents, John and Marilyn Bercier of Aberdeen; brother, Jacob (Chantell Heath) Bercier of Austin, TX; children, Amirah, Sophia, Cashus, Harper and Atlas all of Aberdeen; paternal grandmother, Metha Bercier of Aberdeen; special friend, Ahlaqui Blindman of Aberdeen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Austin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Helen and Benedict Davis; paternal grandfather, John Bercier, Sr.; and aunt, Monica Wickre.
Honorary Urnbearers will be Austin's family and friends.
Urnbearers will be John and Marilyn Bercier, Jacob Bercier and Austin's children.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Austin's Children's Trust Account at Aberdeen Federal Credit Union.
Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory of Aberdeen has been entrusted with the arrangements.
