Bernice died May 1, 2020 at Ashley Nursing Home.
Bernice was born October 7, 1935 to Christian J. and Rosie (Fey) Wolf in McIntosh County, ND. She was baptized in the Wishek Baptist Church in July 1945.
Bernice was united in marriage to Stanley Meidinger on October 7, 1956 in Berlin Baptist Church. They lived on a farm southwest of Fredonia where they raised cattle, milked, and did grain farming. Her husband Stanley passed away suddenly on June 15, 1992. Bernice continued to live on the farm with her son.
Bernice was united in marriage to Ted Bollinger on March 2, 1996 in Ashley Baptist Church. They moved to Ashley. Ted passed away September 25, 2015. In the winter of 2016, she moved to the Ashley Heritage Apartments and lived there until her death.
Bernice loved working in the field. She especially loved to combine, with that being her favorite. She loved gardening, reading magazines and newspapers and spending time with her cat, Blackie who she loved dearly. When she was young, she loved to go bareback riding on her horse, Billy.
Bernice was a member of Ashley Baptist Church since May 3, 2009 and a former member of Berlin Baptist Church. She played the piano and organ for Berlin Baptist Church up until the church closed.
Grateful for having shared Bernice's life are her children, Myra (Delmar) Lautt of Ashley, Sidney (Sandra) Meidinger of Fredonia and Melanie (Allen) Jones of Wahpeton, ND; five grandchildren, Sherrece (Link) Golz, Becky (Taylor) Jenner and Brandon (Jamie) Meidinger, all of Ashley, Stephanie (Devon) Peterson of Wahpeton and Joshua Lautt of Fredonia; 11 great-grandchildren; step-son, David Bollinger of Ashley; step-daughters, Connie Kanwischer of Jamestown, ND and Nancy (James Satterly) Ballieu of Sioux Falls, SD; one step-grandchild, Spencer Ballieu of Sioux Falls and two sisters-in-law, Luella Wolf of Lincoln, NE and Evangeline Wolf of Aberdeen.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and three brothers, Wilbert, Marvin and Clarence Wolf.
