Betty Jane Hoffman

Aberdeen, SD-Graveside service for Betty Jane Hoffman, 89, of Aberdeen and formerly of Ashley, ND will be 2:30 pm, Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Ashley. Rev. Betty died September 20, 2020 at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.
Betty Jane Freimark, daughter of Arthur and Claudia (Balliet) Freimark was born September 5, 1931 in Java, SD. She attended country school and graduated from Java High School. She then attended Northern State Teachers College and obtained a Teachers Certificate. Betty taught for a couple of years.
Betty was united in marriage to Christ Hoffman on September 5, 1956 in Chicago, IL. They made their home on his brothers farm southeast of Ashley. They farmed there until they retired due to failing health. Christ died February 17, 2015. Betty entered Bethesda Home of Aberdeen in 2016.
Betty enjoyed reading and watching television. She liked crafting and painting pictures. When she was able, Betty liked to cook for her husband and visitors.
Betty is survived by her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Christ and two brothers, Leroy, and Delbert Freimark.
Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley has been entrusted with arrangements.
