Edwin J. Dow

Lisbon, ND-Graveside service for Edwin J. Dow, 87, of Lisbon, ND and formerly Ashley, ND will be held at a later date at Barnesville City Cemetery in Barnesville, MN.
Edwin died Sunday, May 24, 2020 at CHI Lisbon Health.
Edwin Joseph Dow was born November 30, 1932 to Edwin Carl and Catheryn (Labish) Dow near Barnesville, MN. He attended country school nearby through the eighth grade.
Edwin was united in marriage to Arlene Nosal at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville. He farmed for a few years near Barnesville, until later moving to Cheney, WA. There Edwin worked as a high school custodian and drove school bus. In 1964, Edwin and Arlene would return to Fargo, ND where he worked at Pioneer Mutual Life Insurance Company for 11 years.
Edwin loved fishing, hunting, and many outdoor activities.
He was a member of Fargo American Legion Gilbert C. Grafton Post #2.
Grateful for having shared Edwin's life are his children; Ron (Diana) Dow of Audubon, MN, Jane (Joe) Freer of Las Vegas, NV, and Diane (Dave) Holm of Red Wing, MN; fiancé, Bernice Sturges of Lisbon; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding Edwin in death were his parents and one sister, Cecilia.
