Aberdeen, SD-Memorial Service for Gina Marie Schwarzbauer, 43, of Aberdeen will be 11:00 am, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Mark Galbraith will officiate. The service will be live streamed and available at www.Carlsenfh.com under Gina’s obituary.
Gina died January 6, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Gina Marie, daughter of Eugene and Sharon (Stull) Schwarzbauer was born October 19, 1978, at Colorado Springs, CO. She grew up in Beach, ND where she attended school, graduating from Beach High School with the class of 1997. She then moved to Fargo and worked for a year. Gina then attended Dickinson State University, graduating in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She then became employed with LoAnn’s Marketing in Dickinson as a Financial Officer for the next three years. In 2008, she moved to Aberdeen where she was employed for eight years with SD Wheat Growers Association/Agtegra as an accountant. Gina enjoyed her work as a CPA and in September 2016 Gina began work at The Rivett Group as the Accounting Manager for My Place Hotel franchise. She worked until December 2021, and due to her health, she was forced to be homebound.
Gina was united in marriage to Hayleigh Horton on December 31, 2019, in Aberdeen. She loved relaxing at home with family and kept everyone on their toes and always let people know if you needed to get on track. Over the years, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, and playing volleyball.
Gina attended Zion Lutheran Church in Aberdeen and was a member of The Chicken Club.
Grateful for having shared Gina’s life are her wife, Hayleigh Horton of Aberdeen; son, Sylvester Ewoniuk of Aberdeen; mother, Sharon Schwarzbauer of Aberdeen; sister, Terra (Rick) Wright of Pleasant Prairie, WI and brothers, Joshua Schwarzbauer and Aaron Schwarzbauer, both of Colorado Springs, CO.
She was preceded in death by her father.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
