Aberdeen, SD-Mass of Christian Burial for Kathryn “Kathy” M. North, 76, of Aberdeen will be Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Christopher Hughes will officiate.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Kathy died September 11, 2021, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital.
Kathryn Mary North was born on November 26, 1944, in Aberdeen to Paul Noah and Mildred Veronica (Clayton) North. She attended Lincoln Elementary, Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1962. After high school, Kathryn worked at St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company until her retirement.
Kathryn’s faith was very important to her, and she was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of Our Lady’s Rosary Makers and made rosaries for the church, Veterans, and many others. Kathryn was very talented in China Painting and was a certified China Painting teacher.
Kathryn spent summers with her family at their cabin at Enemy Swim Lake. She had a great sense of humor and would keep you laughing for days. There was never a dull moment with Kathy, and everybody was her friend.
Kathryn is survived by one brother, Dean (Donna) North of Aberdeen and brother-in-law, Bill Tupa of Aberdeen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Karen Tupa.
Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory of Aberdeen has been entrusted with the arrangements.
