Kenneth D. Wolff

Aberdeen, SD-There will be a Private Family Service for Kenneth D. Wolff, 90, of Aberdeen.

Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.

Kenneth died Monday, August 1, 2022, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.

Kenneth D. Wolff, son of David and Clara (Quast) Wolff was born May 4, 1932, at Forbes, ND. In 1942, he and his family moved to a farm southeast of Kulm, ND. He attended country school in German Township for most of his education. To get to school, Kenneth rode his pony. In 1944, his family moved to a farm near Monango, ND. He graduated from high school in 1950.

Kenneth taught country school for one year at Edgeley, ND, and two years south of Merricourt, ND.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Bertha Schaffer on December 23, 1952, in Edgeley, ND. They ranched together near Monango, ND until 2000, when they sold their cattle and moved their house to Aberdeen, SD. They then continued to grain farm.

Over the years, Kenneth was always concerned about the welfare of his family. It was important to him that their children had a good education. Nothing made him happier than having his family come home and to be able to spend time together.  

Kenneth was a former member of Transfiguration Church in Edgeley and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen.     

Grateful for having shared Kenneth’s life are his wife of 69 years, Bertha; daughter, JoAnn (Todd) Wren of Bath, SD; son, Scott (Kerri Svedjan-Wolff) Wolff of Casselton, ND and three grandchildren, Justin, Jenna, and Jordyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lee Verne Wolff.
