Marcus “Mark” D. Lynn

Ashley, ND-Memorial service for Marcus "Mark" D. Lynn, 78, of Ashley will be 10:30 am Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church. The service will be live streamed and available at www.CarlsenFH.com under Mark’s obituary.

Burial will be in Ashley City Cemetery.

Mark died March 14, 2020 at Ashley Nursing Home.

Marcus David Lynn, son of Kenneth Robert and Anne (Boomgaarden) Lynn was born May 6, 1941 at Eureka, SD. He grew up on the family homestead farm west of Ashley where Mark lived his entire life. Mark graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1960. He continued to live and farm with his parents and later for many other local farmers when they needed help.
Mark worked during the summer of 2019, and in late summer, he was diagnosed with cancer. He entered nursing care December 10, 2019.

Mark loved socializing at the Café and Cenex. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley Lions, Lake Hoskins Improvement Association, Coldwater Wildlife Club and Pheasants Forever. Mark was also an EMT with Ashley Ambulance.

Grateful for having shared Mark's life are his brother, Jerry (Sylvia) Lynn of Glenshaw, PA; sister, Elvida (Peter) Frothingham of O'Dell, OR; nieces, Lynn (Loren) Charlton of Portland, OR and Angela (Matthew) Fasold of Danville, PA; nephews, Brian K. Lynn of Pittsburgh, PA and Rev. J.J. (Tara) Lynn of Gibsonia, PA and great-nephew, Andrew Lynn of Gibsonia, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
