Remigia “Midge” Graves was born September 10, 1939, to Vernon and Catherine (Gross) Graves. She attended school in Aberdeen.
She met the love of her life; Donald Kuntz and they were soon married in 1957. They lived in the Aberdeen area and welcomed six wonderful children into lives, John, Donald Jr., Robert, Michael, and Donna.
Midge enjoyed helping anyone that needed help. She worked for the Salvation Army for a number of years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also worked at Dakota Midland Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Midge loved embroidery, crocheting and canning produce from their large garden and fruit trees. She liked spending time taking care of her flower garden. She simply enjoyed spending time outside enjoying nature. She and Don would go on bus trips to the casino and liked fishing trips. Midge also bowled for many years and was a great left-hand bowler. She and Don would drive around Aberdeen and the countryside on their motorcycle, and she looked forward to the Brown County Fair every year. Her favorite holiday was the 4th of July when they would have a big family gathering at their home.
Midge is survived by her children, Donald Jr., Robert, and Richard (Shelly), all of Aberdeen, and Donna Luke of Mitchell, SD; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Michael Graves of Sioux Falls and John Graves of Aberdeen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, John and Michael, son-in-law, Michael Luke, great-grandson, Jackson Van Buskirk, sister, Margaret and brother, Eugene Graves.
