Sandra Erdahl

Moorhead, MN-Funeral Service for Sandra Erdahl, 77, of Moorhead and formerly of Aberdeen will be 10:00 am, Monday, December 6, 2021, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. Rev. Michael Jacobson will officiate. The services will be live streamed and available at www.Carlsenfh.com under Sandra’s obituary.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

There will be a prayer service Sunday at 5:00 pm with visitation from 3:00-5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Sandra died December 1, 2021, at Sanford Medical Center Fargo.       

Sandra Pederson was born July 11, 1944, to Sanford and Gladys (Rossum) Pederson in Pelican Rapids, MN. She grew up and attended school in Pelican Rapids, graduating from Pelican Rapids High School with the class of 1962. She attended Miller Hospital School of Nursing, St. Paul, MN.    

Sandra was united in marriage to Warren Wedell on November 30, 1963, and they made their home in Ellendale, ND. She was employed at the Ellendale Clinic. In 1982 Sandra began her career as an Addiction Counselor with Avera Worthmore Addiction Services and in 1983 she moved to Aberdeen.

Sandra married Jim Erdahl on July 22, 1987. Sandra continued to work in addiction counseling for 20 years and retired in 2006. Jim passed away in 1996 and at that time Sandra moved to Mina Lake. In September 2020 she moved to Moorhead to be closer to family.

The center of Sandra’s life was her grandchildren and she loved attending their activities and playing games with them. She had an active social life, and enjoyed the time she spent with her friends. Sandra loved to sing and dance, fountain Diet Coke, fishing, swimming (she was a real water baby), and her sweets.  Especially her super secret midnight sugar parties with her grandkids.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Alcoholics Anonymous, P.E.O. and for many years she held season tickets for Northern State Wolves Basketball.

Grateful for having shared Sandra’s life are her children, Tony (Sara) Wedell of Atlanta, GA, Stuart (Heidi) Wedell of West Fargo, ND, Vanessa (Rick Bruns) Wedell of West Fargo; siblings, Doreen (Steve) Larson of Reston, VA, Lyle Pederson of Pelican Rapids, Kurt Pederson of Hartselle, AL, Wendell (Kim) Pederson of Corcoran, MN; five step-children, Dennis (Debbie) Erdahl, George (Becky) Erdahl, Debbie (Paul) Coon, David Erdahl, and Darrell Erdahl; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim and sister-in-law, Judy Pederson.

Casket Bearers will be Sandra’s grandchildren, Austin Wedell, Savannah Wedell, Erin Wedell, Ava Wedell, Hunter Wedell, Rylee Jo Wedell, Karsten Wedell and Blaze Sigmund.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Sandra’s Step-Grandchildren and Great-Granddaughter.

Sandra was extremely proud of her 47 years of sobriety.  Any memorials will benefit the Yellow House Group, PO Box 164, Aberdeen, SD 57402, or Al-Anon Society.
