Shirley Ann Rohrbach

Wishek, ND-Funeral service for Shirley Ann Rohrbach, 78,of Wishek will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND. Pastor Charles Gray will officiate.

Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

There will be a prayer service Monday at 7:00 pm with visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Shirley died October 12, 2021, at CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck.

Shirley Ann was born April 5, 1943, in McIntosh County, ND to Helmuth and Frieda (Schweigert) Pfeifle. She grew up on the family farm 15 miles southeast of Wishek. She attended Albright’s Valley Township School near Venturia, ND. She graduated eighth grade and later went on to obtain her GED.

She married Edwin Kramlich in 1962, and they had two children Yvonne and Ronald. Edwin lost his life in an automobile accident, and she later met and married Eugene Rohrbach on August 14, 1966, and together they had two children, Andrew, and Donald.

Shirley was employed at the Wishek Community Hospital for ten years until she became disabled, and at the Wishek Living Center the prior years. She also helped with Rohrbach Well Drilling, the family-owned business. While farming they raised hogs, sheep, calves, turkeys, and chickens. She enjoyed working in the garden and with her flower gardens. She provided many meals for her family with all her hard work of butchering, canning and preserves.

Shirley had many hobbies including cross-stitch, crocheting, embroidery, baking, fishing, playing pinochle and quilting with her friends at the Wishek Senior Center and quilting at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, where she was an active member. She loved spending time with her quilting friends, looking forward to it every week, making quilts to be donated to various organizations. She was a former member of Wishek Eagles Club.

Survivors include Yvonne Martinez, Wahpeton; Ronald Kramlich, Wahpeton; Andrew (Carol) Rohrbach, Eureka, SD; and Donald (LaDonna) Rohrbach, Wishek. Grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, and Jacob Martinez; Amanda (Steve) Huffman; Andrew Jr. (Trista) Rohrbach; and Danielle and Robert Hackman. Five Great Grandchildren. Brother, Robert Pfeifle; and Sisters, Virginia Schnabel, and Rita Ost.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Edwin and son in law, Rick Martinez.

Casketbearers will be Amanda Huffman, Andrew Rohrbach Jr., Danielle Hackman, Robert Hackman, Steve Huffman and Dennis Ulrich.
