Frances Eberhart

Eureka, SD-Funeral Service for Frances Eberhart, 91, of Eureka will be 10:30 am, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Eureka United Methodist Church. Rev. Ken Ballard will officiate.
Burial will be in Eureka City Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Frances died August 11, 2020 at Eureka Community Health Services Avera.
Frances was born November 19, 1928 to Adolph and Katherine (Miller) Zoller on the family farm near Temvik, ND. This is the area where she grew up, graduating from Linton, ND High School. Frances taught school for one year at Liberty School located in the Temvik area. She then worked for one year at Linton Grocery Store.
Frances was united in marriage to Wilfred Eberhart on June 12, 1949 in Linton Evangelical Church at Linton, ND. They made their home on his family farm, farming until their retirement in 1991. Frances and Wilfred then moved to Eureka.
Frances enjoyed gardening and quilting. She liked to play card and board games. She most treasured family gatherings and being with friends.
Frances was a member of Eureka United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher and former member of the church choir and United Methodist Women. She was a former member of Mound City Extension Club and from 1978-1998, Frances and Wilfred had the privilege of being Foster Parents.
Grateful for having shared Frances' life are her husband, Wilfred; daughter, Bonnie (Larry) Gieling of Foxfield, CO; two sons, Jeremy (Jacalyn) Eberhart of Eureka and Daryl (Joyce) Eberhart of Centennial, CO; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters, including her twin sister.
Honorary Casketbearers will be Frances' grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be Matthew Gieling, Eric Gieling, Justin Eberhart, Clint Ebel, Perry Zoller and Thaddeus Kunz.
Carlsen Funeral Home of Eureka has been entrusted with arrangements.
