Hecla, SD-Memorial Service for Frederick "Fred" David Meyer, 80, of Hecla will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory.
Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military rites.
Fred died July 2, 2020 at his home.
Fred was born in Holabird, SD to Julius and Louise (Heckenlaible) Meyer on December 19, 1939. Fred is survived by two brothers: Delbert (Duke) Meyer of Redfield and Robert (Bob) Meyer of Orient; two sisters: Charmaine Schmille of Albuquerque, NM and Shirley Leigh of Hot Springs and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Fred in death were his father Julius on March 8, 1977; mother Louise on December 30, 1990; brother Leo on October 25, 1990; brother Wilbur on November 14, 1994; sister Delores Shephard on January 19, 2003; brother Ervin on April 8, 2006; and sister Leona Brooks on October 11, 2019.
