LaVilla Pearl was born on February 15, 1928 to Andrew B. and Magdalena (Dockter) Haas on the family homestead northwest of Venturia, ND.
LaVilla was united in marriage to Milbert Dollinger on November 24, 1946 at Venturia Baptist Church. They worked hard on their farm raising cattle and grain. In addition, LaVilla tended to chickens, ducks, geese, and a big garden. She took great pride in being a farm wife.
LaVilla was also a talented seamstress, sewing clothes for her family and eventually exquisite and detailed professional drapery. She made dozens of quilts and crocheted many beautiful doilies and afghans which she lovingly shared with her family.
LaVilla and Milbert moved to Ashley after devoting 50 years to their farm. In November 2019, they moved to Edgewood Mandan Assisted Living where Milbert passed away at the age of 94 on January 3, 2020. They had been married for 73 years.
Family was a very important part of LaVilla's life. She was always supportive and encouraging to those whose lives she touched.
