Mandan, ND-Private Funeral Service for LaVilla Pearl Dollinger, 92, of Mandan and formerly of Ashley, ND will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Carlsen Funeral Home. Rev. David Irwin will officiate. The service will be live streamed and available at www.Carlsenfh.com under LaVilla’s obituary.
Burial will be in Venturia Baptist Cemetery.
LaVilla died Friday, February 12, 2021 at Edgewood Mandan under the care of hospice, three days short of her 93rd birthday.
LaVilla Pearl was born on February 15, 1928 to Andrew B. and Magdalena (Dockter) Haas on the family homestead northwest of Venturia, ND.
LaVilla was united in marriage to Milbert Dollinger on November 24, 1946 at Venturia Baptist Church. They worked hard on their farm raising cattle and grain. In addition, LaVilla tended to chickens, ducks, geese, and a big garden. She took great pride in being a farm wife.
LaVilla was also a talented seamstress, sewing clothes for her family and eventually exquisite and detailed professional drapery. She made dozens of quilts and crocheted many beautiful doilies and afghans which she lovingly shared with her family.
LaVilla and Milbert moved to Ashley after devoting 50 years to their farm. In November 2019, they moved to Edgewood Mandan Assisted Living where Milbert passed away at the age of 94 on January 3, 2020. They had been married for 73 years.
Family was a very important part of LaVilla’s life. She was always supportive and encouraging to those whose lives she touched.
Thankful to have had her as their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother are her children, Lana Llewellyn of Globe, AZ, Lyle (Mary) Dollinger of Fargo, ND, Neal (Bobbi) Dollinger of Rippey, IA and Nina (Stew) Weber of Bismarck, ND; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by, sister, Arly (Dennis) Schnabel of Aberdeen, SD; and sister-in-law, Jeanne Haas of Hamilton, MT.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Joe Llewellyn, three brothers, two sisters and infant great-granddaughter, Rose Colby.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to charity of your choice.

So very sorry she was such a nice lady as well as Milbert was to when I was in Activity Dept Milbert and Lavilla would help out a lot with Bingo driving the bus we’re great Volunteers !! Now Lavilla and Milbert are reunited in Heaven !! My thoughts and Prayers to her family 😢🙏
