Mabel Dallman

Ellendale, ND-Memorial Service for Mabel Ernst Dallman, 88, of Ellendale and formerly of Edgeley will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Carlsen Funeral Home in Ellendale. Rev. Alan Eppen will officiate. The video of Mabel's service will be available after the service at www.Carlsenfh.com under her obituary.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
Mabel died August 17, 2020 at Prince of Peace Care Center.
Mabel Ernst, daughter of Albert and Marie (Haase) Ernst was born July 6, 1932 on the family homestead near Kulm in Dickey County, ND. She attended a country school through eighth grade. She helped her parents on the family farm.
Mabel was united in marriage to Alvin Dallman on July 24, 1950 in Aberdeen, SD. They worked for farmers and in 1954 they moved to Edgeley. In 1958, she began working at The Coffee Shop in Edgeley as a dishwasher. Mabel worked at other cafes in Edgeley and in 1994 she retired. In 1995 she moved to Evergreen Place in Ellendale and in 1997 she entered Prince of Peace Care Center in Ellendale where she lived until her death.
Grateful for having shared Mabel's life are her two daughters, Marcella Bardell of Oakes, and Donna (Kevin) Isakson of Litchville, ND; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Pearl (Lyn) Ballentine of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvin (12-20-2008), son, Anthony Roy Dallman, two sisters, Gladys Cardwell, and Lillian Pfeifer, one brother, Leonard Ernst and son-in-law, Benny Bardell.
Carlsen Funeral Home of Ellendale has been entrusted with arrangements.
