Ashley, ND-Memorial Service for Norma Jean Beveridge, 83, of Ashley will be 10:30 am Friday, May 28, 2021 at Carlsen Funeral Home. Rev. David Irwin will officiate. The service will be live streamed and available at www.Carlsenfh.com under Norma’s obituary.
Burial will be in Ashley City Cemetery.
Norma died March 22, 2021 at Ashley Medical Center.
Norma Jean, daughter of Grant and Martha (Donner) Beveridge was born January 19, 1938 on the family farm directly north of Ashley. She attended Ashley High School, graduating with honors with the class of 1956. She then attended and graduated from University of North Dakota (UND) in 1961 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Education.
After graduation, Norma resided in Hopkins, MN and worked for General Mills. She worked at the James Ford Bell Technical Center where General Mills invented all their products. She was the Administrative Assistant working for the Chief Patent Attorney, Gene Enockson. In 1973 she was promoted to Assistant Administrator to the Legal Administrator of the Law Department, Harvey Dusek. She completed many financial tasks for the Law Department and retired after a 35-year career with General Mills. After retirement, Norma moved back to Ashley to care for her parents in their declining years.
Norma was an avid Minnesota Vikings football and UND Hockey fan. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She loved going to the local café for knoephla soup and lemon pie.
Grateful for having shared Norma’s life are several cousins along with their families.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
