Aberdeen-Funeral service for Michael Norman Fiedler, 68, of Aberdeen will be 10:00 am, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Gary Wileman will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with lunch to follow.

Michael died December 13, 2018 at his home.

Michael “Mike” Norman Fiedler, son of Norman Ervin and Lorraine (Naasz) Fiedler was born January 13, 1950 at Aberdeen. He grew up in Aberdeen and attended Aberdeen Public Schools, graduating from Aberdeen Central High School with the class of 1968. Mike lived in Aberdeen most of his life, with a short time in California, Watertown, SD and Washington. Throughout the years he was employed with Plymouth Clothing, Hitch’n Post Western Wear, North Central Harvestore, Saves System-Spilde Manufacturing and Shopko. He retired in 2016.

Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers. He loved his family and we all wished we could have spent more time together.

Grateful for having shared Michael’s life are his daughters, Tammy (Rich) Allen of Sioux Falls, Lara (Shawn) Gengerke of Groton and Lindsay (Chris) Yoho of Auburn, WA; three sisters, Lana (Myron) Zoellner, Sally (Gary) Larson and Kathy (Boz) Gross, all of Aberdeen; six grandchildren, Derik Allen, Gia, Jasmine and Ethan Gengerke and Ophelia and Phoenix Yoho; two nephews, four nieces and 19 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Tom, Harry and Dick Fiedler and one niece.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Michael’s grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be Myron Zoellner, Boz Gross, Gary Larson, Mike Griess, Jeff Larson and Mark Zoellner.

Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory of Aberdeen has been entrusted with arrangements.

    So very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Mike and working with him at North Central Harvestore. He was always a happy guy, happier when he could go fishing. Rest. in peace my friend.
