Mansfield, SD-Funeral service for Tammy Jean Hochhalter, 56, of Mansfield will be 10:00 am, Monday, January 13, 2020 at New Life Fellowship.  Pastor Micah Westby will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

There will be a prayer service at 7:00 pm, Sunday with visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Tammy died January 7, 2020 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.

Tammy Jean Hochhalter, daughter of Allen Eugene and Peggy Jo (Auiler) Tipton was born May 12, 1963 at Louisville, KY.  She grew up and received her education in that area.  She then moved to the Twin Falls, ID area.  While working as a parts person for a custom harvester, she met Ken, her future husband.

Tammy was united in marriage to Ken Hochhalter on June 4, 1992 at Kimberly, ID.  In 1997, they moved to Tulare, SD and soon after to the Warner area.

Tammy attended New Life Fellowship-Downtown Campus and YMCA-Women’s Workout Session Water Aerobics.  She enjoyed camping and fishing with Ken, every weekend they could.  Tammy’s grandchildren are the Love of her Life as well as Ken.  Together, they also found the time to attend late model car races around the Midwest.

Grateful for having shared Tammy’s life are her husband, Ken; sons, Eric (Jennifer) Crabb and Charlie (Molly) Crabb, both of Aberdeen; step-daughter, Jenel White of Sarasota, FL; two step-sons, K.C. (Rachel) Hochhalter of California and Bradley (Melinda) Hochhalter of Aberdeen; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Allen (Karen) Tipton Jr. of Boston, KY and Paul (Amy) Tipton of New Haven, KY and two sisters, Theresa (Andy) Clarke of Lyman, WY and Traci (Dee) Conner of Wendover, NV.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Tammy’s grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be Allen Tipton, Paul Tipton, Charlie Crabb, Eric Crabb, Nathaniel Hochhalter and Jaden Hochhalter.

Many thanks to all whom have supported us through this time.  The family prefers memorials to Dakota Lions Sight and Health.
